Here's where I'm at. I have everything working, all the components are picked out and everything seems to function flawlessly. My next step is to design and fabricate some PCB boards. And this is where I need help. I'm not too sure what I'm doing in this step and I'd like to have someone else with more experience design and ready all of the necessary PCB files. The board needs to be very small, about 1.25 inches by .5 inch and include these parts...

Range Test
While I was play testing the Feral IR Sensor, I decided to do some range testing. The LTTO gear gets about 300 feet in daylight. The Feral IR sensor was registering hits as far away as 660 feet - from a Deluxe! Not bad. However this was not in full sun but in the shade - which will improve the range. I'd like to do another test to see what the effect of full sunlight has on the sensor.

Feral IR Design #1
After being out sick for over a week, I finally was able to finished this design of the Feral IR Sensor. I lucked out by finding these cheap bicycle light flashers at the local 99 cent store.
Check out the video and give me your thoughts, comments and ideas on how to improve things.

Feral IR Sensor - IN DESIGN
While I'm waiting on some new parts for the Echo Base to come in, I've made some progress with the Feral IR Sensor. And I'm happy to announce that it's now moved to the "IN DESIGN" phase. This device is designed for creature/Zombie games where the individual wearing it is not assigned to a team, but simply prowls around - converting others by a simple tap on the back.

Status Update
While I've made a lot of progress with ECHO BASE, I still have quite a bit of work still to do on the software, as well as experiment with some hardware modifications.
The biggest issue is that the LTAR beacon triggers the Echo Base - not good. The beacon signal on the LTAR is longer than the LTTO's beacon so my method for filtering out beacon noise needs to be modified. I'm not too sure how long this will take but it's at the top of my list...
